Easter Eggs in Forza Horizon 5

Horizon 5 is no different than other Forza Horizon games in that it has a bunch of easter eggs in it. Some of these are obvious, others not so much. There’s some referencing older Forza games, others that are about some Microsoft Exclusives, and a few that are about other games or movies. We’ll get to a few of the best ones in this article. Do note that to unlock some of these for yourself you’ll need to buy Forza Horizon 5 credits with which U7BUY can help, or you’ll need to accomplish certain challenges!

Initial D

Initial D is a beloved, old-school racing anime – and many racing games reference it in some way. It has an astounding, memorable soundtrack and is memed quite a bit in the various anime and racing communities. But, it stands the test of time as one of the all time greats and there is a relatively huge reference to the anime in Forza Horizon 5.

There are two things in Forza Horizon 5 referencing Initial D – The iconic Toyota Corolla AE86 and the Accolade “My Initial is D” for drifting while driving the 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex until you get the Ultimate Drift skill 25 times and you also get a awesome voice line from Jaimin when you unlock it.

Back to the Future

Similarly to Initial D, the iconic DeLorean from Back to the Future has been featured in many racing games and games with cars in them that aren’t exclusively racers in one way or another. However, while Forza Horizon 5 has the awesome DeLorean as an unlockable, there is another reference to the movie somewhere you might not have expected it

The speed at which the DeLorean time travels in the movies is 88mph… and if you let the train from Forza Horizon 5 push you along its tracks, you’ll discover that it pushes you at that same speed. However, that’s not the only way the train references Back to the Future. In Back to the Future 3, the Doc drives a train to push the DeLorean to the speed of 88mph because the car had run out of fuel.

The Horns

These are nothing new to the Forza Horizon games, but are worth a mention. There are many different types of horns you can unlock for your cars (The honking ones, not like those of a bull) within the game. There’s the Warthog ‘regular’ horn, but there are also a lot of fun musical horns from many different games and references such as:

  • DOOM E1M1 High
  • Banjo & Kazooie Spiral Mountain Theme 1&2
  • Battletoads Theme
  • The sound of Windows XP Shutting down
  • The iconic Halo theme
  • And many more

A few other minor easter eggs

There are many other references and easter eggs in Forza Horizon 5, but we feel like these are some of the best and most iconic ones. The others that aren’t that big:

  • The various signs referencing the older Forza Horizon game locations
  • The Playground Games’ Logo-shaped Baja racing track
  • References to Aliens and UFOs at the Volcano
  • The Warthog from Halo

And that’s it for some of the best and most iconic easter eggs in Forza Horizon 5! More game currency in Horizon 5, consider using U7BUY to get ahead of the curve and get fast cars early!
